Edinburgh Fringe time!

Here are just a few shows I would recommend if you are making your way up to the festival this year...

Ruby Wax:Losing It

Ruby

This is a show I've blogged about before (see here) and I'm happy to see it's going to reach more people when it hits the fringe. It's a show about getting rid of that silly old stigma regarding mental health, but is not just one for those with problems - it's
a show which touches on universal life worries and frustrations but in a way that leaves you laughing as well as thinking.

Udderbelly's Pasture
4.10pm
£17.50 or £15, depends on dates. See the website.

I saw these guys at the fringe last year and their sketch show had me in stitches from beginning to end and was the one show we came home still recalling. You can tell they have been working together for years both in their unity as a group and in their seamlessly weaved set of sketches.

Just The Tonic at the Caves
6.15pm
£8.50/£7.50

Coal Head, Toadstool Mouth and Other Stories

Staged by SUDS theatre company this is a show staged by a talented group of people which combines burlesque, folklore and physical theatre in some truly innovative storytelling.

theSpace @ Symposium Hall
8.30pm
£7/£5
